To establish Live Help session s using Live Help Connection Manager program, you must connect Live Help Expert and Client programs to the Live Help Connection Manager computer.
Also, if you want to change the configuration of the Live Help Connection Manager program using the CMADMIN program, you need to connect the two programs.
By default, "CMTCP" is preset as the host name of the Live Help Connection Manager computer. You can use this default host name to make the Live Help Connection Manager computer visible to your TCP/IP users, or specify other information.
In the following sections, the three methods to identify the Live Help Connection Manager computer are explained.
To identify the Live Help Connection Manager computer using host name "CMTCP":
Resolve the host name "CMTCP".
Add the host name "CMTCP" to your DNS or the appropriate hosts table files. (Skip this step if the host name has already been resolved)
To identify the Live Help Connection Manager computer using host name other than "CMTCP":
Resolve the host name of your Live Help Connection Manager computer.
Add the host name of your Live Help Connection Manager computer to your DNS or the appropriate hosts table files. (Skip this step if the host name has already been resolved)
Start the Live Help Connection Manager.
Start the LiveHelp Connection Manager service on the Live Help Connection Manager computer.
Start the CMADMIN program.
Change the configuration information of the Live Help Connection Manager.
Change the host name for "Connection Manager 1" (the name of the Live Help Connection Manager computer registered by default) from "CMTCP" to the host name of your Live Help Connection Manager computer.
The CMADMIN program will establish a connection to the Live Help Connection Manager computer and show Support Centers (the default Support Center name is "Support TCP/IP") in the connected Live Help Connection Manager.
Create a CCL file.
Create the CCL file for the "Support TCP/IP."
Distribute the CCL file.
Distribute the created CCL file to Experts and Clients.

Create a CCL file.
Create the CCL file for the "Support TCP/IP."
Distribute the CCL file.
Distribute the created CCL file to Experts and Clients.
