2.3.2 Setting Every-Year Holidays

This section describes how to set holidays that fall on the same day every year (i.e., national holidays) and substitute holidays, and how to cancel the holiday settings.


Procedure

  1. Displaying the Add Calendar window

    Perform any of the following:

    • Select Calendar from the Job Selection window of the Systemwalker Operation Manager window. Double-click a calendar in the Calendar List window.

      Or, with a calendar selected, select Open from the File menu.

    • Select a calendar from Calendar in the Job Selection window of the Systemwalker Operation Manager window.

      Or, right-click while the mouse cursor is located on the calendar, then select Open from the pop-up menu.

  2. Open the Yearly Holiday Setup dialog box.

    While the Add Calendar window is displayed in the Systemwalker Operation Manager's Main window, select Yearly Holiday Setup from the Option menu.

  3. Selecting days/dates to be set as holidays

    In the Yearly Holiday Setup dialog box, opened in the previous step, specify days and dates to be set as holidays using the following procedure. The days and dates set as holidays are displayed in red.

    • Specifying days/dates individually

      Select one of the following 2 setting methods in Select Month:

      • Set on All Months:

        The specified day/date settings apply to all months from January to December.

      • Set on Specified Month Only:

        The specified day/date settings apply to the months specified in Month.

      Then, specify days/dates to be set as holidays in Day Selection Area and Date Selection Area.

    • Specifying in a batch

      Selecting the Daily button specifies all the days as holidays in a batch.

      To cancel it, select the Daily button again.

    • Setting Substitute Holidays

      Checking the Activate Substitute Holidays check box specifies as holidays the day following the days of a week already set as holidays.

  4. Saving the settings

    Click OK in the Yearly Holiday Setup dialog box to reflect yearly holiday information in the Add Calendar window. Then, select Save from the File menu of the Add Calendar window to save the specified holidays.

Canceling holiday settings

Use the following procedure to cancel holiday settings:

  1. Select dates already selected in the Day Selection Area or Date Selection Area again.

  2. Click OK.

Setting the reschedule date

When saving the holiday settings, the reschedule date on which the setting is reflected in the actual operations can be set in the Save Calendar window. Once the reschedule date is set, the job net start date can be re-created only for the dates of or after the reschedule date. For details, see "2.4 Setting the Calendar Reschedule Date".
