2.3 Setting Calendars Other Than The SYSTEM_CALENDAR

To change operations on the server depending on weekdays and holidays, you must set holidays. To operate with the same pattern everyday or with a different pattern everyday, you do not have to set holidays. Also, to change operations according to SYSTEM_CALENDAR information, you do not need additional settings since the holiday information has already been set with the power schedule.

If the SYSTEM_CALENDAR is not sufficient for allocating operations, create another calendar and set holidays on it. You can set holidays that fall on the same day every year (i.e., national holidays) and substitute holidays by using the Yearly Holiday Setup dialog box. Then, set holidays specific to the current year using the Add Calendar window (other than SYSTEM_CALENDAR).

The specified weekday/holiday data can be used for the following functions.

Note

  • Note that weekday/holiday patterns set in any calendar other than the SYSTEM_CALENDAR cannot be browsed with the power control function.

  • However, if you have set a larger number of weekend/holiday patterns, the process may delay when the day change time comes or when you edit the system calendar. It is recommendable that approximately up to 100 patterns should be set although any number of calendar patterns can be stored.

Use the following procedure to set holidays on calendars other than the SYSTEM_CALENDAR.

Procedure

  1. Create a calendar (it is not necessary to use an existing calendar).
