Chapter 2 Setting Up The System Calendar

This chapter describes how to set up the calendar.

Point

The SYSTEM_CALENDAR defines the date when turning on the server power and day change times. One SYSTEM_CALENDAR exists in the Systemwalker Operation Manager. To control the power, SYSTEM_CALENDAR treats days on which the server power is turned on as weekdays and days on which the server power is not turned on as holidays. The weekday/holiday pattern of the SYSTEM_CALENDAR can be browsed by the service/application execution function, the Jobscheduler function, and the event monitoring function.

Calendars other than the SYSTEM_CALENDAR can be set up to operate the service/application execution function, the Jobscheduler function, and the event monitoring function with patterns different from the SYSTEM_CALENDAR operation pattern. The power control function cannot be used for calendars other than the SYSTEM_CALENDAR.

Note that only the system administrator can create or edit the calendar and change the day change time.
