If you want to change operations on the server based on weekdays and holidays, you must set the holidays. To operate with the same pattern everyday or with a different pattern everyday, you do not have to set holidays. Set days on which the server is not operated as holidays in the SYSTEM_CALENDAR calendar. You can set holidays that fall on the same day every year (i.e., national holidays) and substitute holidays by using the Yearly Holiday Setup dialog box. Then set holidays that are specific to the current year using the Add Calendar window (SYSTEM_CALENDAR).
The specified weekday/holiday data can be used for the following functions in addition to the power control function.
Service/application execution function
Allocation of starting servers and applications (for UNIX, starting applications only)
Set using the Service/Application Execution Pattern dialog box.
Jobscheduler function
Allocation of job net schedules
Set using the Startup days sheet of the Job Net Properties window.
Event monitoring function (Windows version)
Allocation of action execution conditions
Set with the Action Schedule dialog box
Calendar API
Execution of calendar-oriented processes
For details on the calendar API, see the Systemwalker Operation Manager Reference Guide.
Use the following procedure to set holidays on the SYSTEM_CALENDAR:
Procedure

Set holidays that fall on the same day every year (i.e., national holidays) and substitute holidays using the Yearly Holiday Setup dialog box.
Set holidays that are specific to the current year.
Set holidays that are specific to the current year using the Add Calendar window (SYSTEM_CALENDAR).
Note
Note the following when changing calendar information after scheduling power on/off, services (for Windows only), application starts, and job net:
Power schedule
If a day set for power schedule is changed to a holiday, the power schedule will be invalid. However, if changed to a holiday after powering on, the power will not be turned off until the next power shutdown time. In this case, if the next day is a holiday, the power is turned off at the day change time of this day.
Service and application startup pattern
If a calendar is used in the service and application startup pattern, the service and application startup dates are set according to content changes on the calendar.
Job net schedule
If an already-registered holiday calendar is changed, it is possible to set whether to re-create the job net execution day specified in that holiday calendar. Set using the Use function2 sheet from the Define Jobscheduler Startup Parameters window. To re-create the job net execution day, confirm or modify the execution day after changing the holiday calendar.
Even if the holiday calendar is changed, the already-executed groups will not be re-scheduled. The changed holiday information will be reflected in scheduling from the next day.
