The Manager might have been stopped.
The type of corrective action taken varies depending on whether or not the administrative server is being used in a cluster system.
When not running the administrative server in a cluster system
Check if the Manager has stopped by the following.
[Administrative server is Solaris OS or Linux]
# ps -ef | grep -v grep | grep /opt/FJSVssmgr/jre/bin/java | grep cruiser=deamon
If the Manager is running, process information will be displayed.
If the Manager has stopped, start it by executing the following command:
# /opt/FJSVrcxmr/sbin/managerctl start
[Administrative server is Windows]
Check the service status of the ETERNUS SF Storage Cruiser Manager by open [Control panel] - [Administrative tool] - [Service].
If the service has stopped, select it by open [Control panel] - [Administrative tool] - [Service] and start it.
When the administrative server is running in a cluster system
Check that cluster applications have not stopped or application failures have not occurred on the Manager from the PRIMECLUSTER Cluster Admin GUI. Also, check that the server node where the command is executed is not standby.
If the cluster applications have stopped, execute the command on the operating server node after starting the cluster applications.
If application failures have occurred, execute the server node on the operating server node after recovering the cluster applications.
Be sure to execute the command on the operating node of a cluster application, not on the standby node.
