This chapter explains other messages and the actions to be taken to resolve any problems indicated.
The location where the messages are output or displayed varies depending on the components:
Manager and Agent
Output in the system log (event log), event log of the Client window, standard output, or standard error output.
GUI
Displayed on the Client window.
CLI
Standard output or standard error output, GUI (If active).
The output format of the Manager, Agent, and CLI messages is as follows:
Output format
pkgname: severity: id: message
Displays the package name.
Indicates the severity of the problem.
Severity | Description |
---|---|
INFO (Information) | The message provides information to users. |
WARNING (Warning) | When an error is detected, the message is used to warn users. |
ERROR (Error) | The message shows the cause of the problem. |
Displays the unique name of the message.
Displays the text of the message.
