9.1.6 Change Storage System Name or Box ID for ETERNUS Disk Storage System

The procedure to change the ETERNUS Disk storage system name or Box ID managed by this product is as follows.

For Changing Storage System Name

• When using AdvancedCopy Manager CCM

  Refer to "Changing Registered Information for ETERNUS Disk Storage System" in the AdvancedCopy Manager Operation Guide for Copy Control Module.

• When not using AdvancedCopy Manager CCM

  1. Use ETERNUS Web GUI to change the ETERNUS Disk storage system name.

  2. Use Web Console to perform the Reload Conf. operation for the ETERNUS Disk storage system whose name was changed.

For Changing Box ID

• When using AdvancedCopy Manager CCM

  1. Use ETERNUS Web GUI to change the Box ID of the ETERNUS Disk storage system.

  2. Delete the target ETERNUS Disk storage system. Refer to "9.1.3 Delete ETERNUS Disk Storage System" for details.

  3. Re-register the target ETERNUS Disk storage system. Refer to "9.1.1 Register ETERNUS Disk Storage System" for details.

  4. Re-configure the connection conditions of the ETERNUS Disk storage system. Refer to "9.10.2 Configure Connection Type for ETERNUS Disk Storage System" for details.

• When not using AdvancedCopy Manager CCM

  1. Use ETERNUS Web GUI to change the Box ID of the ETERNUS Disk storage system.

  2. Delete the target ETERNUS Disk storage system. Refer to "9.1.3 Delete ETERNUS Disk Storage System" for details.

  3. Re-register the target ETERNUS Disk storage system. Refer to "9.1.1 Register ETERNUS Disk Storage System" for details.
