Prior Confirmation
Check the following items before releasing the data retrieved from an archive.
The Target Archive
Refer to "4.3.2 Archive State", confirm that the target archive is in the "Retrieving", "Readable", "Readable Warning", "Readable Error", "Readable Unknown", "Retrieval Error", or "Release Error" state. If the state is not one of the above, the operation is not possible.
Accessing to the shared folder
Confirm that users of this product are not accessing archived shared folders (shared folders with a name ending with "+ar"). The release operation deletes the archived shared folder. If the release operation is performed while the target shared folder is being accessed, the folder forcibly becomes inaccessible.

The release process my take a few hours to be completed depending on the archive data amount.
When linking with the cloud backup script of ETERNUS SF AdvancedCopy Manager, the script cannot be executed from the start of the archive data retrieval process to the completion of the release process. The cloud backup script terminates with an error when executed during the period.
Procedure for Releasing the Data Retrieved from an Archive
In CSG Web GUI, click Archive on the global pane.
The Archive list screen is displayed.
Click the radio button for the target archive and then click Release in Action on the right.
The Confirm screen is displayed.
Confirm that it is safe to release the data of the displayed archive and then click Done.
Check the Archive list screen.
Confirm that the target archive is displayed with the "Releasing" state and wait until the release process of the data retrieved from the archive is completed.
After the process is completed, the status changes to "Archived".
