2.13 CT Operation Parameter Information File

This section describes the CT operation parameter information file used when changing the operating environment of the client (CT). The operating environment parameter includes printing monitoring mode/E-mail control mode, size of the log file temporarily saved in client (CT), and invalid policy upon logon, etc.

Usage

This file can be used when changing the operating environment of client (CT) on Management Server.
The settings information will be notified to the client (CT) as CT policy.

When this file is saved in "Saving location", the operating environment of the client (CT) will be changed. Therefore, after finishing changing the operating environment of client, delete this file, or move the file to location other than saving location.

The modification of the printing monitoring mode due to settings of this file can be used to modify the settings of client (CT) temporarily. After modifying the configuration value, the CT operation parameter information file is deleted or moved to other location from the saving location, and then this file will be operated again according to the configuration value in [Terminal Operation Settings] window after the next policy is notified.

Saving location

When the operating system is a Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2012, or Windows Server 2016:

When installing the Management Server, an example file (DTKCTSetting_sample.txt) will be generated in the aforementioned saving location.

File format

The item name and description of input file are described as follows:

The character encoding used is either Shift JIS or UTF-8, one of which is specified in the server configuration tool.
The blank line will be ignored.
Lines that do not match the file format will be ignored and the error information will be output to an error file (DTKCTSetting.err). The error file is saved in the same location as the CT operation parameter information file.
Lines starting with the number sign (#) will be treated as comment lines.
Each item will be quoted by " (double quote).
, (comma) will be used to separate one item from another.

When modifying several lines of CT that fulfills the condition, the initial line will be valid only.

3	IP Address of Server (CT Management Server) (*1)	The switched IP address or the server name shall be specified. Set in the following format. For IPv4 address: aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd. For IPv6 address: aa:bb:cc:dd:ee:ff:gg:hh Note) For IPv6 address, an abbreviation compatible with RFC 5952 can also be used. For server name: 15 halfwidth characters or less When specifying as Server, use the value of "IP Address of Server (CT Management Server)" that has been set in the client (CT). When the default input format (set as blank) is allowed, use the value that has been set in the client (CT). When specifying local loop back address or 0, it is incorrect. When this item is also set in transfer target information file, adopt the configuration value of transfer target information file.
4	Size of Operation Log File	The standard value is 30 (Unit is MB). The range from 1 to 100 can be specified. When the default input format is allowed or it is set as 0, adopt the value that has been set in the client (CT).
5	Size of Prohibition Log File	The standard value is 10 (Unit is MB). The range from 1 to 100 can be specified. When the default input format is allowed or it is set as 0, adopt the value that has been set in the client (CT).
6	Size of Error Log File	The standard value is 1 (Unit is MB). The range from 1 to 100 can be specified. When the default input format is allowed or it is set as 0, adopt the value that has been set in the client (CT).
7	Saving Days of Error Log	The standard value is 30 (Unit is day). The range from 5 to 100 can be specified. When the default input format is allowed or it is set as 0, adopt the value that has been set in the client (CT).
8	Size of Trace Log File	The standard value is 10 (Unit is MB). The range from 1 to 100 can be specified. When the default input format is allowed or it is set as 0, adopt the value that has been set in the client (CT).
9	Printing Monitoring Mode	Specify the following values. 1: monitor the printing of all printers set in this PC. 2: monitor the printing of local printer only (Printing monitoring mode operated through printer server). The standard value is 1. When the default input format is allowed or it is set as 0, adopt the value that has been set in the client (CT). Though the printing monitoring mode is set in [Terminal Operation Settings] window, the configuration value of the CT operation parameter information file will also be valid and reflected to the client (CT). However, after deleting or moving the CT operation parameter information file to location other than saving location, the operation will be performed according to the configuration value in [Terminal Operation Settings] window.
10	Port Number for E-mail Sending Monitoring	The standard value is 25. The range from 1 to 65535 can be specified. When the default input format is allowed or it is set as 0, adopt the value that has been set in the client (CT).
11	Monitoring Mode with Prohibited E-mail Attachment	Specify the following values. 1: port monitoring mode 2: compatible mode of V12.0L20~V13.0.0 The standard value is 1. When the default input format is allowed or it is set as 0, adopt the value that has been set in the client (CT). When OS is Windows Server 2008, only 1 can be specified. When 2 is specified, adopt the value that has been set in the client (CT).
12	Port Number for Communication with Prohibited E-mail Attachment	The standard value is 10,018. The value within a range from 5,001 to 60,000 can be specified. When the default input format is allowed or it is set as 0, adopt the value that has been set in the client (CT). This item will be valid when 1 is specified in the monitoring mode with prohibited E-mail attachment. When the value excluding 1 is specified in the monitoring mode with prohibited E-mail attachment, the system will consider 0 has been specified in this item.
13	Port Number 2 for Communication with Prohibited E-mail Attachment	The standard value is 10,019. The value within a range from 5,001 to 60,000 can be specified. When the default input format is allowed or it is set as 0, adopt the value that has been set in the client (CT). This item will be valid when 1 is specified in the monitoring mode with a prohibited E-mail attachment. When the value excluding 1 is specified in the monitoring mode with a prohibited E-mail attachment, the system will consider 0 has been specified in this item.
14	Following Action after Logon	Specify which policy to be used upon logon. 1: CT policy 2: user policy When the default input format is allowed or it is set as 0, adopt the value that has been set in the client (CT). When using an OS other than Windows Server 2008, only 1 can be specified. When 2 is specified, adopt the value that has been set in the client (CT).
15	Confirm Recipient Address Message during E-mail Sending	To prevent sending E-mail incorrectly, specify whether to display the Confirm recipient address when sending E-mail window. 1: Display the Confirm recipient address when sending E-mail window when sending an email. 2: Do not display the Confirm recipient address when sending E-mail window when sending an email. The standard value is 1. When the default input format is allowed or it is set as 0, adopt the value that has been set in the client (CT). *Valid only when Confirm recipient address when sending E-mail is "Yes" in the Client (CT) policy.
16	Use of Dial-up Connection	When using a dial-up connection, specify whether the client (CT) is communicating with the Management Server. 1: not communicate. 3: communicate. When the default input format is allowed or it is set as 0, adopt the value that has been set in the client (CT). After installation, the default settings are "1".
17	Compatible Record of Network Drive	According to the operation of the File Export Utility, specify whether not to execute UNC records, and the records are the operation files in the original format. 1: record network drive in UNC format. 2: record according to the original compatible mode. When the default input format is allowed or it is set as 0, adopt the value that has been set in the client (CT). After installation, the default settings are "1".
18	Reserved item	Reserved item. Omit this item, or specify 0.
19	Reserved item	Reserved item. Omit this item, or specify 0.
20	Management Server inquiry interval	Specify the Management Server inquiry interval from the client (CT) and XenApp monitoring Management Server in seconds. The default value is 1800. A value equal to or greater than 1 can be specified. When this item is omitted or its value is set to 0, the value set in the client (CT) will be used.
21	Web Communication Monitoring Method	Specify the web communication monitoring method. 1: Use the local proxy method (*2) 2: Use the hook method (V14.1.0 to V15.1.2 compatibility method) When this item is omitted or its value is set to 0, the value set in the client (CT) will be used. Immediately after installation, this value is set to "2".
22	Usage flag(proxy server)	Specify whether to use the Proxy Server or not when using the secure communication method. 1:Do not use the proxy server. 2:Use the proxy server. When this item is omitted or its value is set to 0, the value set in the client (CT) will be used.
23	Proxy address(HTTP)	Specify the host name(FQDN) or the IP address of the proxy server when HTTP connection is performed. When this item is omitted (including ""), the value set in the client (CT) will be used. The Usage flag(proxy server) is 1, this item will be invalid.
24	Proxy port(HTTP)	Specify the port number of the proxy server when HTTP connection is performed. When this item is omitted or its value is set to 0, the value set in the client (CT) will be used. The Usage flag(proxy server) is 1, this item will be invalid.
25	Proxy address(HTTPS)	Specify the host name(FQDN) or the IP address of the proxy server when HTTPS connection is performed. When this item is omitted (including ""), the value set in the client (CT) will be used. The Usage flag(proxy server) is 1, this item will be invalid.
26	Proxy port(HTTPS)	Specify the port number of the proxy server when HTTPS connection is performed. When this item is omitted or its value is set to 0, the value set in the client (CT) will be used. The Usage flag(proxy server) is 1, this item will be invalid.
27	Exception list(proxy server)	Specify the hosts that do not pass through the proxy server. If there are multiple hosts, separate them using the vertical bar "\|". If one halfwidth space is specified, the lists set in the client will be deleted. When this item is omitted (including ""), the value set in the client (CT) will be used. The Usage flag(proxy server) is 1, this item will be invalid.

The smart device (Agent) cannot change the Operation Parameter by using this file.

*1: Do not specify IPv6 address for the client (CT) of V14.3.0 or earlier. Do not enter the link local address. Operations when the link local address is specified are not guaranteed.

*2: When specifying the local proxy method in the Web Communication Monitoring Method, set the target client (CT) other than the virtual operation system to the 2nd item of the CT Operation Parameter Information File.

*1: The values set for printing monitoring mode, monitoring mode with prohibited E-mail attachment, following operation parameter after logon, the web communication monitoring method and the usage flag(proxy server) in the CT operation parameter information file are different from the settings information value of CT displayed in conservative command.
