2.14 Device/Media List File

File name

Arbitrary (*.*).
When creating a file, the user can specify any file name.

Usage

This CSV file can be used under the following conditions:

Refer to the related contents of "Register the USB/PC Card" in User's Guide for Administrator for how to use this CSV file.

When modifying and deleting the logged USB/PC card information, use the contents output to the CSV file.

When deleting the USB/PC card, specify the processing flag.

The media information cannot be imported by CSV file input.

Saving location

It can be saved in any location of local drive.

When outputting or importing CSV files, specify a full path name no larger than 218 bytes and then save it.

File format

The item name and description of the input CSV file are described as follows.

The character encoding used is either Shift JIS or UTF-8, one of which is specified in the server configuration tool. The first line is the title line and the date begins on the second line.
When not logging on any USB/PC card, output the title line only.

Processing flag (Required)

  • When outputting
    Blank.

  • When importing
    Specify the processing flag.

    • New registration:
      Specify it as halfwidth space.

    • Modify:
      Specify it as halfwidth capital letter, "U".

    • Delete:
      Specify it as halfwidth capital letter, "D".

GUID (Required)

  • When outputting
    Specify the key (unique) saved in the internal part of system.

  • When importing
    Specify the key saved in the internal part of system.

    • New registration:
      Specify it as halfwidth space.

    • Modify:
      The value cannot be changed.

    • Delete:
      The value cannot be changed.

Name/Media Name (Required)

  • When outputting
    Output the name/media name.

  • When importing
    Specify the name.

    • New registration:
      Specify the characters within 80 halfwidth characters (40 fullwidth characters).
      Limit code cannot be specified.
      The default input format is not allowed.

    • Modify:
      Specify the characters within 80 halfwidth characters (40 fullwidth characters).
      Limit code cannot be specified.
      The default input format is not allowed.

    • Delete:
      The value cannot be changed.

Notes (Required)

  • When outputting
    Output the notes information.

  • When importing
    Specify the notes information.

    • New registration:
      Specify the characters within 128 halfwidth characters (64 fullwidth characters).
      Limit code cannot be specified.
      When the default input format is allowed, specify it as halfwidth space.

    • Modify:
      Specify the characters within 128 halfwidth characters (64 fullwidth characters).
      Limit code cannot be specified.
      When the default input format is allowed, specify it as halfwidth space.

    • Delete:
      The value cannot be changed.

Manufacturer ID (Required) (*1)

  • When outputting
    Output the manufacturer ID for USB.
    Output "0000" for PC card/media.

  • When importing
    Specify the manufacturer ID.

    • New registration:
      Specify the ID using 4 hexadecimal digits for USB.
      Specify "0000" for PC card.
      This cannot be omitted.

    • Modify:
      Specify the ID using 4 hexadecimal digits for USB.
      Specify "0000" for PC card.
      This cannot be omitted.

    • Delete:
      The value cannot be changed.

Product ID (Required) (*1)

  • When outputting
    Output the product ID for USB.
    Output "0000" for PC card/media.

  • When importing
    Specify the product ID.

    • New registration:
      Specify the ID using 4 hexadecimal digits for USB.
      Specify "0000" for PC card.
      This cannot be omitted.

    • Modify:
      Specify the ID using 4 hexadecimal digits for USB.
      Specify "0000" for PC card.
      This cannot be omitted.

    • Delete:
      The value cannot be changed.

Device Name/Volume Name (Required)

  • When outputting
    Output the device name/volume name.

  • When importing
    Specify the device name.

    • New registration:
      Specify the characters within 80 halfwidth characters (or 40 fullwidth characters).
      Limit code cannot be specified.
      The default input format is not allowed.

    • Modify:
      Specify 80 or less halfwidth characters (or 40 fullwidth characters).
      Limit code cannot be specified.
      The default input format is not allowed.

    • Delete:
      The value cannot be changed.

Internal Serial No. / Hardware ID (Required)

  • When outputting
    Output the internal serial No. / hardware ID.
    If using media, the volume serial number will be output.

  • When importing
    Specify the internal serial No. / hardware ID.

    • New registration:
      Specify the characters within 64 halfwidth characters (32 fullwidth characters) for USB.
      Specify the characters within 250 halfwidth characters for PC card.
      When [Identification Method] is set as"1" and "3", the default input format is not allowed.

    • Modify:
      Specify the characters within 64 halfwidth characters (32 fullwidth characters) for USB.
      Specify the characters within 250 halfwidth characters for PC card. When [Identification Method] is set as"1" and "3", the default input format is not allowed.

    • Delete:
      The value cannot be changed.

Identification Method (Required)

  • When outputting
    Output the identification method.
    0: Cannot be used
    1: Completely match
    2: Matching product
    3: Matching serial number

  • When importing
    Specify the identification method. Specify one of the following numerals.

    • New registration:
      0: Cannot be used
      1: Completely match
      2: Matching product
      3: Matching serial number
      The only option that can be specified for PC card is "2: matching product".
      The default input format is not allowed.

    • Modify:
      0: Cannot be used
      1: Completely match
      2: Matching product
      3: Matching serial number
      The only option that can be specified for PC card is "2: matching product".
      The default input format is not allowed.

    • Delete:
      The value cannot be changed.

Last Connect Date (*1)

  • When outputting
    Output the date when the USB device/media is in last use.

  • When importing
    Specify the last connection date.

    • New registration:
      Specify the format of YYYYMMDD or YYYYMMDDhhmmss.
      When the default input format is allowed, specify it as halfwidth space.

    • Modify:
      Specify the format of YYYYMMDD or YYYYMMDDhhmmss.

    • Delete:
      The value cannot be changed.

Period for Use (*1)

  • When outputting
    Output the period for use of USB device/media.

  • When importing
    Specify the period for use for USB device.

    • New registration:
      Specify the format of YYYYMMDD.
      When the default input format is allowed, specify it as halfwidth space.

    • Modify:
      Specify the format of YYYYMMDD.
      When the default input format is allowed, specify it as halfwidth space.

    • Delete:
      The value cannot be changed.

When logging on in the first time, modifying and specifying it as space, set the period for use according to the settings contents in the [USB Device Operation Settings] window.

When [Not Set Period for Use] is selected, the period for use will not be set.

When [Set Period for Use for USB Device] is selected, the period for use will be set.

Last Used User Name (*1)

  • When outputting
    Output the user name of user of USB device/media in last use.

  • When importing
    Specify the user who is the last one to use the USB device.

    • New registration:
      Specify the characters within 40 halfwidth characters (20 fullwidth characters).
      The user name totally composed of period cannot be specified.
      Cannot specify halfwidth symbols "\/[]:|<>+=;,?*@"" .
      Cannot specify limit code.
      When the default input format is allowed, specify it as halfwidth space.

    • Modify:
      Specify the characters within 40 halfwidth characters (20 fullwidth characters).
      The user name totally composed of period cannot be specified.
      Cannot specify halfwidth symbols; "\/[]:|<>+=;,?*@"" .
      Cannot specify limit code.
      When the default input format is allowed, specify it as halfwidth space.

    • Delete:
      The value cannot be changed.

Last Used Computer Name (*1)

  • When outputting
    Output the name of computer who is the last one to use USB device/media.

  • When importing
    Specify the name of computer who is the last one to use USB device.

    • New registration:
      Specify the computer name composed of halfwidth alphanumeric numeral or strike within 64 characters.
      The strike cannot be specified in the beginning and end.
      When the default input format is allowed, specify it as halfwidth space.

    • Modify:
      Specify the computer name composed of halfwidth alphanumeric numeral or strike within 64 characters.
      The strike cannot be specified in the beginning and end.
      When the default input format is allowed, specify it as halfwidth space.

    • Delete:
      The value cannot be changed.

Type

  • When outputting
    Output the type.
    0: PC card
    1: USB
    2: Media

  • When importing
    Specify the device type. Specify one of the following.

    • New registration:
      0: PC card
      1: USB
      If omitted, "1: USB" will be used as the specified value for operation.

    • Modify:
      0: PC card
      1: USB
      If omitted, "1: USB" will be used as the specified value for operation.

    • Delete:
      The value cannot be changed.

Individual Media Identification

This item is only enabled when Type is 1.
If Type is other than 1, this item will be blank.

  • When outputting
    Output the individual media identification.
    0: Yes
    1: No

  • When importing
    Specify the media connection. Specify one of the following.

    • New registration
      0: Yes
      1: No
      If omitted, "1: No" will be used.

    • Modify
      0: Yes
      1: No
      If omitted, "1: No" will be used.

    • Delete:
      The value cannot be changed.

*1: Items only valid for USB devices.
