8.2.3 Register Software Distribution to be Released

Log the software and file and other data on CS in the manner of software release. The logging software can be distributed to DS or CT.

As to notes about software release to the following PC, refer to relevant contents of "8.2.3.1 Notes of Software Distribution to PC with other than Windows Server(R) 2003".

The procedure is as follows.

Log on to the main menu, click Distribution, then click Software Distribution.

The following window will be displayed.

See below for definition of the button names.

Add PC Group For Distribution button	Create of PC group for distribution.
Apply button	Save the state selected.

Click the Add Software Group For Distribution button.
The following window will be displayed.
Click the Settings of Distribution Software button.
The following window will be displayed.
The actions of each button are as follows.

Select the directory under Software from the field on the left of the window.

The selected software will be displayed in the field on the right of the window.

The character string can be specified as partially consistent. In addition, if "a" is OS name, specify a character string excluding Windows or Edition in "b". Search button

The display contents of the software list will be displayed accurately.

Select the object to be accurately displayed in "a". The selected objects are the respective project name, OS name and OS type. In addition, specify OS type only under the circumstances of security patches.

Registration status

Logon status of software on CS can be grasped.

Define the following information.

Software information

This item can only be set in the case of user defined software.

Item	Description
Name	For name of software to be distributed, enter up to 128 fullwidth characters or 256 halfwidth characters. This item cannot be omitted.
Version	Specify content using up to 32 fullwidth characters or 64 halfwidth characters for version.
Notes	Enter Remarks. Enter content within 128 multi-byte or 256 single-byte characters. (*1)
Software Dictionary Group Name	Select software dictionary group name to be added from the user definition.

*1: After you upgrade from V13.3.0 or earlier to V14.0.0 or later, information about the Version that was used in V13.3.0 or earlier is set in Remarks under Software Information in the distribution software settings.

Distributed Software

Item	Description
File (Note 1) (Note 3)	Register the software to be distributed. Single file Designation of logon file. Specify here for logon one file. Compressed file To be specified when logging on the compressed file. The registered compressed file will be automatically decompressed on CT. Specify the specified file in the list in the input field beside the list. Select Compressed file in the list, log on the server, check to see if the extension name is Zip. In addition, zip file with password protection cannot be registered. Click Upload button, the specified file will be registered the server. Click Delete button, the software registered will be canceled from the server. In the logon state, specify file again, click Upload button, then the logon will be covered.
Execution (Note 2)	After release, specify a file when you want to execute a file. Specify the file that is automatically executed after downloading The executable file in the ones registered the server will be showed in the list. The files identified as executable have the following extension names. "exe", "bat", "msi", "vbs", "wsf" "No" will be displayed when there are no executable files or just after logon. In file execution after release, select the executable file, then set the following items. Time needed for file execution from start to end. In file execution after release, select a value in 0-600 in unit of second for start to end of the specified file. Default input not allowed. Space needed for execution(installation) For disk space needed for execution of the specified file after release, input a value within 30 digits(Unit: K characters). Specify an estimate value for software download on CT in this item.
Automatically delete	After software download on CT, select this item for automatic cancellation of the downloaded software. Set a value in 1-366(days) for how soon the software will be canceled after download. Default input of date is not allowed for automatic cancellation.
Download method in CT	Select if it's necessary to automatically download the software to be registered CT. Automatically Automatic software download to CT Manually Manual software download to CT
Notification message	Message displayed when CT is downloading software, designation of up to 2,048 fullwidth characters or 4,096 halfwidth characters. Using the software download window, the message can be displayed when downloading the selected software. No message will be displayed for automatic download.
Validity	Designation for checking/downloading software on CT to be limited in given time. The default start time is the date of software logon. Default input of start time is not allowed.
Description	For reference to the software attribution information when downloading on CT, input the information using up to 512 fullwidth characters or 1,024 halfwidth characters. Function, usage, software logon and other information can be input (file registered, file executed after download), attached information to software.

Note 1)

For the registered software file/folder attribution(read only and etc), it cannot be maintained after distributed. Set the attribution again after download when it's needed to set file/folder attribution.
0 byte will be uploaded to upload the file in use. Be of 0 byte or not of the original file, when it shows 0 byte after upload, stop using the file and then upload.
Don't upload file over 2GB. After upload, the browser won't be able to work.

Note 2)

Saving directory of Specify the file that is automatically executed after downloading, when the release target is CS or DS, specify the Saving software directory in installation of CS or DS. When the distribution target is CT and in the case of Automatically for Download method in CT, it's <DTP installation directory>/contents directory. The Current directory of the software distribution will be set as target directory for software saving.
The executable procedure in Specify the file that is automatically executed after downloading is for 32bit use. Whether it is 32bit or 64bit version for the distribution target of Windows, all startup will be done as per 32bit version without discrimination.
The procedures initiated in Specify the file that is automatically executed after downloading shall be discriminated for the 64bit version.

Note 3)

Select Compressed file, considering the following in execution after distribution.

The folders shown in the following cases are Current ones in software execution on CT. therefore, finish the following record when executing EXE file from the package file.

Click the OK button, saving the software registered.
The allocation information shall be reflected to CS in the case of software distribution according to the allocated License. Information on license allocation is reflected in CS when you click Start > Programs > Systemwalker Desktop Patrol > Environment Setup > Event Settings, or Apps > Systemwalker Desktop Patrol > Event Settings for CS.

Steps to register again when registration failed

Take the following steps on CS if registration failure has been caused due to insufficient remaining disk space when registering the software from the main menu.

Make sure of sufficient remaining space needed for software registration.
Stop the ITBudgetMGR(INV) service.
Start the ITBudgetMGR(INV) service.
Register the software again from main menu.
