A.7.2 Server Attributes

General Area
Physical server name

The name used to identify a server is displayed.

Model name

The model name of the server is displayed.
When the server has been registered as a managed server and powered on, the server model name obtained from ServerView Operations Manager is displayed. For other servers, no model name is displayed.

Product name

The product name of the server is displayed.
For PRIMERGY BX servers, the product name obtained from the management blade is displayed. For other servers, the model name is displayed.

Status

Server status is displayed.

Slot

A slot number representing the mounted location is displayed.
Displayed only for PRIMERGY BX servers.

Partition ID

The partition number is displayed.
Only displayed when a PRIMEQUEST, or a SPARC Enterprise M4000/M5000/M8000/M9000 server, or a server in a Fujitsu M10-4S is selected.

Maintenance Mode

The operational status of the server is displayed.

One of the following is displayed:

  • active

  • maintenance

Not displayed when Fujitsu M10/SPARC Enterprise are selected.

LED status

The illumination status of the maintenance LED is displayed.
Displayed only for PRIMERGY BX servers.

Admin LAN (MAC address 1)

The MAC address of the NIC used for the admin LAN is displayed.
Not displayed when Fujitsu M10/SPARC Enterprise are selected.

CPU core count

The CPU core count is displayed.

CPU type

The type of CPU is displayed.
When using servers other than the following, a hyphen ("-") is displayed.

  • PRIMERGY BX Series Servers

  • SPARC Enterprise M-Series

  • Fujitsu M10

  • PRIMEQUEST

CPU clock speed

CPU clock speed (frequency) is displayed.
When using servers other than the following, a hyphen ("-") is displayed.

  • PRIMERGY BX Series Servers

  • SPARC Enterprise M-Series

  • Fujitsu M10

  • PRIMEQUEST

Memory capacity

The total capacity of server memory is displayed.
When using servers other than the following, a hyphen ("-") is displayed.

  • PRIMERGY BX Series Servers

  • SPARC Enterprise M-Series

  • Fujitsu M10

  • PRIMEQUEST

For PRIMEQUEST 2000 series Extended Partition servers, "Memory capacity (DIMM)" is displayed.

Admin LAN (MAC address 2)

The MAC address of the network interface used for the HBA address rename setup service or for admin LAN redundancy is displayed.
For PRIMERGY RX series servers and TX series servers, the MAC address is displayed after HBA address rename settings are configured.
Not displayed when Fujitsu M10/SPARC Enterprise are selected.

Admin LAN Redundancy

Displayed when NIC redundancy has been configured for admin LANs.

Hardware Maintenance Mode

The hardware maintenance mode of the server is displayed.
Displayed only when a PRIMEQUEST server is selected.

Boot option

The boot option setting specified when registering servers is displayed.

Displayed only when a PRIMEQUEST server is selected.

L-Server

The link to the allocated L-Server information is displayed.

When linked with an L-Server, the name of that L-Server is displayed.

Not displayed when Fujitsu M10/SPARC Enterprise are selected.

Extended Partitioning Mode

The status of Extended Partitioning Mode of the PPAR is displayed.

It is only displayed when the PPAR of a PRIMEQUEST 2000 series is selected.

Dynamic Reconfiguration

The status of Dynamic Reconfiguration is displayed.

It is only displayed when the PPAR of a PRIMEQUEST 2000 series is selected.

Hardware Details Area
Server management software

The link to the web interface of server management software is displayed.
Displayed only for the following servers:

  • PRIMERGY Series

  • PRIMEQUEST Servers

  • Fujitsu M10/SPARC Enterprise

Remote Management Controller IP address

IP address of the remote management controller is displayed.
Displayed only for servers other than PRIMERGY BX and PRIMEQUEST servers.

I/O Virtualization Management Software

The link to the web interface of external I/O virtualization management software is displayed.
Displayed only if coordinated up with external I/O virtualization management software.

VIOM server profile

The assigned VIOM server profile name is displayed.
Displayed only if managed by VIOM and a server profile has been set.


Network Properties Area
Physical Connections

The list of LAN connections between the server and a LAN switch blade or a network device is displayed.
When a column heading in the list is clicked, the color of the selected column will change and the resources can be sorted in either ascending or descending order.
The indexes of the admin LAN and the public LAN are displayed.
The mounted position (index) of each network interface on the server is displayed for each index.
However, when a PRIMERGY RX/TX series server is selected, the index is displayed as "1" for the admin LAN and "2" for the redundant LAN.
When "5.5.3 Registering the Public LAN (MAC Address) Information" is performed, "3" or a higher number is displayed as the index for the public LAN.


Hardware Maintenance Area
NIC Summary

The MAC addresses and IP addresses of each server are displayed.
When a virtual MAC address is obtained from VIOM, the virtual MAC address is displayed.

For servers other than PRIMERGY BX servers and PRIMEQUEST servers, only admin LAN information is displayed.

When a PRIMERGY RX/TX server is selected and "5.5.3 Registering the Public LAN (MAC Address) Information" has been performed, the information of the public LAN is also displayed.
The MAC address that is displayed is determined according to the NIC order defined in the definition file.
For details on the definition file, refer to "5.1.2 When Managing Rack Mount or Tower Servers Using VIOM".

For Fujitsu M10/SPARC Enterprise, only the IP address is displayed.

Information

The IP address displayed is the one set within the server's operating system.
For network interfaces that were made redundant using BACS software, the information set in BACS (within the operating system) is displayed.
When the UMC function ([Function number expansion] for the physical L-Server) is enabled for the CNA of the physical server, MAC addresses and IP addresses other than the one with function number 0 are not displayed.


Partition Configuration

The following information is only displayed when the server of a PRIMEQUEST 1000 series, SPARC Enterprise M4000/M5000/M8000/M9000, or SPARC M10-4S is selected.

Partition name

The name used to identify a partition is displayed.

SB

The ID of the system board used to configure a partition is displayed.

IOB

The ID of the IO board used to configure a partition is displayed.

GSPB (Giga-LAN SAS and PCI_Box Interface Board)

The ID of the GSPB used to configure a partition is displayed.

Reserved SB

The ID of the Reserved SB assigned to a partition is displayed.

LSB

The partition logical system board (LSB) number is displayed.
Only displayed for SPARC Enterprise M4000/M5000/M8000/M9000 or Fujitsu M10-4S.

XSB

The partition eXtended System Board (XSB) number is displayed.
Only displayed for SPARC Enterprise M4000/M5000/M8000/M9000 servers.

PSB

The partition physical system board (PSB) number is displayed.
Only displayed for Fujitsu M10-4S.


The following information is only displayed when the PPAR of a PRIMEQUEST 2000 series is selected.

Partition name

The name used to identify a partition is displayed.

SB

The ID of the system board used to configure a partition is displayed.

IOU

The ID of the IOU used to configure a partition is displayed.

DU

The ID of the DU used to configure a partition is displayed.

LPCI_Box

The ID of the PCI_BOX used to configure a partition is displayed.

Reserved SB

The ID of the Reserved SB assigned to a partition is displayed.


The following information is only displayed when the Extended Partition of a PRIMEQUEST 2000 series server is selected.

Partition name

The name used to identify a partition is displayed.

Partition ID (PPAR)

The partition number is displayed.

Partition name (PPAR)

The name of the PPAR partition is displayed.

Physical server name (PPAR)

The physical server name of the PPAR is displayed.

Memory EXCL

The information of memory EXCL is displayed.

SKT Binding

The information of SKT Binding is displayed.

PCI Express Slot

PCI Express slot information is displayed.

Home SB VGA/USB

The information of Home SB VGA/USB is displayed.

GbE

GbE information is displayed.

Disk Unit

Disk unit information is displayed.


Extended Partitioning Configuration

It is only displayed for PPAR of the PRIMEQUEST 2000 series.

Partition ID

The partition number is displayed.

Physical server name

The name used to identify a server is displayed.

Partition name

The name used to identify a partition is displayed.

Availability

The availability of Extended Partition is displayed. When usable, "OK" is displayed. When not usable, "NG" is displayed.

PPAR ID

The number of the PPAR to which the Extended Partition is allocated is displayed.

CPU core count

The CPU core count is displayed.

Memory capacity (DIMM)

The total capacity of server memory is displayed.

Memory EXCL

The information of memory EXCL is displayed.

SKT Binding

The information of SKT Binding is displayed.

PCI Express Slot

PCI Express slot information is displayed.

Home SB VGA/USB

The information of Home SB VGA/USB is displayed.

GbE

GbE information is displayed.

Disk Unit

Disk unit information is displayed.
