6.3.1 Different Screen Resolutions

If you have a lower video resolution than the Client, Live Help adds scroll bars to your window so no information is lost.

Don't worry if you have a different video resolution than the ClientLive Help automatically adjusts so you still have access to everything on the Client's screen. For example, if the Client has Super VGA (1024 x 768) and you have VGA (640 x 480), scroll bars are added to your window. Using the scroll bars allows you to view the contents of the lower right corner of the Client's screen. If your video resolution is the same or higher than the Client's, no adjustment is needed.

Additionally, if you have the Scale Screen option enabled on the VIEW MENU, Live Help will scale the incoming Client screen to fit inside the Live Help Expert window. This allows you to view the entire contents of the Client's screen even if your resolutions are different. It is important to note that when Scale Screen is enabled, the incoming screen shrinks. This loss in resolution may make it difficult to use Remote Control.

Note

Refer to the section Screen Transfer Method and Performance Settings in Changing Your Live Help Expert Configuration for information about overriding Live Help's default methods for transferring video resolution colors.
