1.2 Precautions

General Precautions on Installation of Live Help

Precautions on Version Upgrade

This section describes precautions you need to consider when you upgrade your Live Help application from an old version to a new version.


There is no data incompatibility.


Some versions of Live Help do not support migration of some settings. The table below summarizes migration of configuration among versions.

Compatible

All settings will be migrated. However,

  • If you upgrade Live Help Expert/Monitor on which the "16 Colors" option in the Screen Transfer Method is selected, it will be changed to the "256 Colors" option.

  • If you upgrade version 13.1.0 or 13.2.0 of Live Help Expert/Monitor, option switches for Live Help Security Setup command will become different from the old version. Refer to the section Version Upgrade in Appendix - Live Help Security Setup Command for further details.

No setting will be migrated.
(Migration of configuration is not supported.)

Upgrade installation resets the following settings. Run Live Help Expert and configure them again after upgrade.
