3.3.2 Remove a Transaction Volume

When deleting a transaction volume, it is important to ensure that all of the following steps are completed beforehand.

  1. Select the transaction volume to be deleted in the Site view to refresh the Details view with the transaction volume summary information.

    Any current backup policy and history information will be displayed in the summary.

  2. Delete any backup history for the transaction volume to be removed - for details, refer to "3.7.2 Delete Backup History".

  3. Delete any backup policies that have been set for volume that is to be deleted - for details, refer to "3.4.2 Delete Backup Policy".

  4. Set the operation type for the volume or device to "unassigned" - for details, refer to "3.3.1 Define the Role of a Volume".
