3.7.1 Investigation Information for Performance Problem

The following information is necessary for the performance problem investigation:

• Requisite Information

  The following information is the requisite information for investigating a performance problem:

  • Environment files
  • Log files
  • Performance log files
  • System log (Event log)
  • User's operation record
  • Direct access key definition file (Only necessary when using the direct access function)

  Refer to 3.2 Collecting Requisite Information for more information on the information and how to collect it.

• Common Information

  The following information is the common information to error event:

  • Search expressions, return expressions, sort expressions (Only necessary when the API error occurs)
  • API snapshot log (Only necessary when the API error occurs)
  • Application sources
  • XML data
  • Shell script or batch

  Refer to 3.3 Collecting Common Information for more information on the information and how to collect it.

• Information of Each Event

  The following information is necessary for investigating a performance problem.

  • Performance information (Solaris, Linux, Windows))

    The following system information needs to be collected as the performance information:

    • CPU use status
    • Network load status
    • Memory use status
    • I/O status
    • Process information

  Collect the process information between the start and the end point of all director servers.
