Chapter 1 Overview of Troubleshooting> 1.3 Analyzing and Handling Problems

1.3.1 Checking and Handling Error Events

Use the following procedure to check and identify the description of output messages and the corrective actions. Then identify the error event.

The following example shows how the shunprtmsg command is used..

This example is a response to the message code "shn22000u":

shunprtmsg -shn 22000

shn22000u
Director's identifier has not been entered.
[Description]
The director identifier (required as an input parameter for the command) has not been entered.

[System action]

Stops processing this command.

[User response]

Specify the appropriate director identifier and then rerun the command.

Refer to the Command Reference for more information on the shunprtmsg command.

Refer to Chapter 2 - Examples of Troubleshooting for a description of the message and the corrective actions. Take a necessary actions.

If the problem cannot be solved by referring to the error message, the corrective actions, or the examples of troubleshooting, contact a Fujitsu systems engineer. Refer to Chapter 3 - Collecting troubleshooting Information for more information on how to collect troubleshooting information.
