9.1.4 Access Control According to the Preferred Path

When a TFO group is being operated with the Active-Active configuration, each Managed Server can be configured to perform priority I/Os to volumes that belong to TFO groups in either the Primary Storage and Secondary Storage.
In the Storage Cluster function, an access path configured to perform priority I/Os is called "Preferred path". An image in which a preferred path is configured is shown in "Figure 9.5 Preferred Path Configuration Example".

Information

If a preferred path is not configured, I/Os are evenly performed in both the Primary Storage and Secondary Storage.

Note that if the TFO group is operating with the Active-Standby configuration, preferred paths cannot be configured.
