Determines how to copy the disks that are registered in a local class or a shared class of GDS.
The disks registered in local or shared classes of GDS can be copied by one of the following methods:
Note
If you want the copy destination GDS to have the same configuration as the copy source, make sure that the copy source and copy destination disks have the same size.
If the disk sizes are different, copy using the "When making the GDS configuration of the copy destination different from the configuration of the copy source".
When not using the mirroring among servers
Take the following steps to copy it.
Backing up the GDS Configuration Information on the copy source system ("K.3.4 Backing up the GDS Configuration Information")
Copying disk data ("K.4.3 Copying Disk Data")
Copy disk data using storage copy, backup and restore software, OS dd and tar commands, and so on.
Copy data in one of the following ranges a through d:.
Determine the scope of the copy based on the specifications of the software and copy function (which areas of data can be replicated), and whether you need to copy data from the volume areas.
The whole data of the disk including the GDS private slice.
The data of the GDS private slice only.
The data of the volume area only.
Do not copy any of the disk data.
Deleting and restoring the GDS Configuration Information on the copy destination system ("K.5.5 Setting up in Single-User Mode," "K.5.7.1 Deleting the GDS Configuration Information," and "K.5.7.2 Restoring the GDS Configuration Information")

Copy data in one of the following ranges a through b:.
Determine the scope of the copy based on the specifications of the software and copy function (which areas of data can be replicated), and whether you need to copy data from the volume areas.
The whole data of the disk including the GDS private slice.
The data of the GDS private slice only.
Changing the mirroring among servers' settings on the copy destination system ("K.5.5 Setting up in Single-User Mode")
Take the following steps to copy it.
Backing up the GDS Configuration Information on the copy source system ("K.4.3 Copying Disk Data")
Deleting and setting the GDS configuration on the copy destination system ("K.5.5 Setting up in Single-User Mode," "K.5.7.1 Deleting the GDS Configuration Information," and "K.5.7.3 Setting up GDS and Restoring the Data")
Restoring data to the copy destination volume( "K.5.7.3 Setting up GDS and Restoring the Data")
