4.8.2 Virtual Tape Appliance ETERNUS CS2000

This software supports fault management (SNMP Trap monitoring only) for the ETERNUS CS2000.

  1. Connecting to the network

    At the device, perform the network connection settings to connect to the network. Refer to the manuals of the device for details on how to perform it.

  2. SNMP Trap setting

    Make the required settings on the CS console so that SNMP Traps of the device are sent to the Management Server. If the Management Server is operated in a cluster configuration, set the logical IP address of the cluster as the destination.

  3. Registering the device

    Refer to "5.2.7 Registering Manually Embedded Device" for registering the virtual tape appliance device.
    IP address of ETERNUS CS2000 must be set in "IP address" for the registration.
