The procedure to disable the encryption mode of an ETERNUS Disk storage system is as follows:
Check whether any volume, Thin Provisioning pool, or Tier pool, which is encrypted by CM, exists in a target ETERNUS Disk storage system. If any, remove the relevant resource.
Refer to the following sections to display/delete each resource:
On the global navigation tab, click Storage.
The registered ETERNUS Disk storage systems are displayed on the Main pane.
On the Main pane, click the target ETERNUS Disk storage system.
On the Category pane, click System.
The items of the Category pane change into the items concerning the system management.
On the Category pane, click Encryption.
On the Action pane, click Disable under Encryption Mode.
Note
If any volume, Thin Provisioning pool, or Tier pool, which is encrypted by CM, exists in an ETERNUS Disk storage system, the encryption of the ETERNUS Disk storage system cannot be disabled.
There are storage device models that cannot set the encryption mode from Web Console. Refer to "Encryption Mode Management" in the Storage Cruiser Operation Guide for details.
If the encryption mode is changed to "disable", it is necessary to restart the ETERNUS Disk storage system.
Refer to the ETERNUS Disk storage system manual for more information.
