9.9.4 Expand Capacity of/Format/Change Threshold Value of/Delete Thin Provisioning Pool

The procedure to expand capacity of/format/change the threshold value of/delete the Thin Provisioning Pool created in the ETERNUS Disk storage system is as follows:

  1. On the global navigation tab, click Storage.
    The registered ETERNUS Disk storage systems are displayed on the Main pane.

  2. On the Main pane, click the target ETERNUS Disk storage system.

  3. On the Category pane, click Thin Provisioning.
    Thin Provisioning Pools in the ETERNUS Disk storage system are displayed on the Main pane.

  4. On the Main pane, check the target Thin Provisioning Pool checkbox.

  5. Perform the following procedures according to the operation purpose.

    For Expanding Capacity of Thin Provisioning Pool
    1. On the Action pane, click Expand under Thin Provisioning Pool.
      The information input screen is displayed. (Specify Pool Information)

    2. Enter the necessary information, and then click Next.

    3. If selected "Yes" in the Manually Name RAID Groups radio button in step 6, then enter the new RAID group name and check the target checkbox in the disk list.

    4. Click Create.

    5. Check a created RAID group checkbox from the RAID Group List, scrolling down as needed.

    6. Click Next.

    7. Confirm the information, and then click Expand.

    For Formatting Thin Provisioning Pool
    1. On the Action pane, click Format under Thin Provisioning Pool.
      The information input screen is displayed.

    2. Enter the necessary information, and then click Format.

    For Changing Threshold Value of Thin Provisioning Pool
    1. On the Action pane, click Modify Threshold under Thin Provisioning Pool.
      The information input screen is displayed.

    2. Enter the necessary information, and then click Modify.

    For Deleting Thin Provisioning Pool
    1. On the Action pane, click Delete under Thin Provisioning Pool.
      The information confirmation screen is displayed.

    2. Confirm the information, and then click Delete.
