The procedure to assign volumes of an ETERNUS Disk storage system to a server is as follows:

Select HBA and Port
Assign Volumes to the Server
The procedure to assign volumes of an ETERNUS Disk storage system to a server is as follows:
On the global navigation tab, click Storage.
The registered ETERNUS Disk storage systems are displayed on the Main pane.
On the Main pane, check the target ETERNUS Disk storage system checkbox.
On the Action pane, click Assign Volume under Wizard.
Click Next.
Click the target server radio button.
Click Next.
To set the zoning, check "Yes" of the Zoning Setting radio button.
Only when the license of ETERNUS SF Storage Cruiser Standard Edition is registered, the Zoning Setting radio button can be checked.
Click the target HBA checkbox.
Click Connect to select a port of the ETERNUS Disk storage system to be connected.
Click Next.
Select a volume to be assigned in either of the following tabs.
Only when the ETERNUS SF Storage Cruiser Standard Edition license is registered, Affinity/LUN Group tab can be clicked.
Check the target volume checkbox to be added from the volume list.
Click Add.
Check the target Affinity/LUN Group radio button to be assigned from the Affinity/LUN Group list.
Click Assign.
Note
If volume assignment fails, it is possible that the zoning was partially successful. The failure may be due to a temporary communication problem. Retry the volume assignment.
Operations that modify the affinity group for the BS2000 can be performed only in environments where the following storage devices are connected to the BS2000:
ETERNUS DX S5 series
ETERNUS DX8000 S4 series
ETERNUS DX S4/S3 series with a firmware version V10L80 or later (excluding the ETERNUS DX8000 S4 series)
ETERNUS AF All-Flash Arrays with a firmware version V10L80 or later
ETERNUS DX200F with a firmware version V10L80 or later
