1.5.2 Certificate Import

The work procedure varies with the browser that you use. Follow the procedure below to import the certificate:

Note

Use the same IP address or host name (FQDN) for the URL entered in the web browser as the one used in the generated certificate. For example, if the URL is different from the certificate, the certificate warning messages are displayed.

  • The certificate was created with a host name (FQDN) and the URL is entered with the IP address.

  • The Management Server has several IP addresses, and the IP address used in the URL is different from the one used for the certificate creation.

For Internet Explorer (for PC)

  1. In the web browser address bar, enter the IP address or host name (FQDN) specified in the Common Name at the certificate creation.
    If the Management Server is the same as the server for the web browser (client), enter the "localhost".

    Example

    • In the case of entering IP address (192.0.2.10)

      https://192.0.2.10:9855/
    • In the case of entering "localhost"

      https://localhost:9855/
  2. A dialog box showing the "There is a problem with this website's security certificate." message is displayed. Click the Continue to this website (not recommended)..

  3. Click the Certificate Error in the address bar.

  4. Click on View certificates at the bottom of the dialog box.

  5. On the Certificates dialog box, click Install Certificate.

  6. The Certificate Import Wizard is displayed. Click Next on the Certificate Import Wizard.

  7. The Certificate Store dialog box is displayed. Select Place all certificates in the following store, and then click Browse.

  8. On the Select Certificate Store dialog box, select Trusted Root Certification Authorities, and then click OK.

  9. Confirm that "Trusted Root Certification Authorities" is displayed in the Certificate store field, and then click Next.

  10. Confirm that "Trusted Root Certification Authorities" is specified in the Certificate Store Selected by User field, and then click Finish.

  11. On the Security Warning pop-up window, click Yes.

  12. Restart the web browser, and then enter the URL of the Management Server in the web browser address bar.

For Microsoft Edge (for PC)

  1. Copy the certificate file created in "1.5.1 Certificate Creation" to any directory on a PC. The certificate file is the following one stored in the Management Server.

    • When the Management Server OS is Windows

      installDir\Common\sys\apache\conf\server.crt
      (The installDir is the directory where ETERNUS SF Manager program is installed.)

    • When the Management Server OS is Solaris or Linux

      /etc/opt/FJSVesfcm/conf/apache/server.crt

  2. On Edge, click in order of Settings > Privacy, search, and services > Manage certificates.

  3. On the Trusted Root Certification Authorities tab in a displayed dialog box, click Import.

  4. On the Welcome to the Certificate Import Wizard dialog box, click Next.

  5. On the File to Import page, click Browse.

  6. Select the file copied in step 1, click Open, and then click Next.

  7. Confirm that "Trusted Root Certification Authorities" is displayed in the Certificate store field, and then click Next.

  8. Confirm that "Trusted Root Certification Authorities" is specified in the Certificate Store Selected by User field, and then click Finish.

  9. On the Security Warning pop-up window, click Yes.

  10. Restart the web browser, and then enter the URL of the Management Server in the web browser address bar.

For Firefox (for PC)

  1. In the web browser address bar, enter the IP address or host name (FQDN) specified in the Common Name at the certificate creation.
    If the Management Server is the same as the server for the web browser (client), enter the "localhost".

    Example

    • In the case of entering IP address (192.0.2.10)

      https://192.0.2.10:9855/
    • In the case of entering "localhost"

      https://localhost:9855/
  2. The Your connection is not secure. dialog box is displayed.
    Click Advanced, and then click Accept the Risk and Continue.

For Chrome (for PC)

  1. Copy the certificate file created in "1.5.1 Certificate Creation" to any directory on a PC. The certificate file is the following one stored in the Management Server.

    • When the Management Server OS is Windows

      installDir\Common\sys\apache\conf\server.crt
      (The installDir is the directory where ETERNUS SF Manager program is installed.)

    • When the Management Server OS is Solaris or Linux

      /etc/opt/FJSVesfcm/conf/apache/server.crt

  2. On Chrome, click in order of Settings > Privacy and security > Security > Manage certificates.

  3. On the Trusted Root Certification Authorities tab in a displayed dialog box, click Import.

  4. On the Welcome to the Certificate Import Wizard dialog box, click Next.

  5. On the File to Import page, click Browse.

  6. Select the file copied in step 1, click Open, and then click Next.

  7. Confirm that "Trusted Root Certification Authorities" is displayed in the Certificate store field, and then click Next.

  8. Confirm that "Trusted Root Certification Authorities" is specified in the Certificate Store Selected by User field, and then click Finish.

  9. On the Security Warning pop-up window, click Yes.

  10. Restart the web browser, and then enter the URL of the Management Server in the web browser address bar.

For Safari (for tablet)

  1. In the web browser address bar, enter the IP address or host name (FQDN) specified in the Common Name at the certificate creation.

    Example

    • In the case of entering IP address (192.0.2.10)

      https://192.0.2.10:9855/
    • In the case of entering FQDN (myhost.company.com)

      https://myhost.company.com:9855/
  2. The Security Certificate Warning screen is displayed at the time of initial connection, and tap Details on the screen.

  3. The Certificate screen is displayed, and tap Trust at the upper right of the screen.

For Chrome (for tablet)

  1. Copy the certificate file created in "1.5.1 Certificate Creation" to the root directory in internal storage device on a tablet. The certificate file is the following one stored in the Management Server.

    • When the Management Server OS is Windows

      installDir\Common\sys\apache\conf\server.crt
      (The installDir is the directory where ETERNUS SF Manager program is installed.)

    • When the Management Server OS is Solaris or Linux

      /etc/opt/FJSVesfcm/conf/apache/server.crt

  2. On the tablet, tap in order of Settings > Personal > Security > CREDENTIAL STORAGE - Install from storage.

  3. Input the file name of the certificate file copied in step 1 in the Certificate name field in a displayed dialog box, and tap OK.
    If a password is required for the tablet, input the password.

  4. Tap Trusted credentials.

  5. Tap USER tab in the displayed dialog box, and make sure that the certificate specified in step 3 is displayed.
