1.4.3 New Functions of Storage Cruiser

1.4.3.1 New Functions Available With Standard License

1.4.3.1.1 Support of New Devices

The following devices can be used from version 16.6.

Refer to "Support Levels" in the Storage Cruiser Operation Guide for details.
Refer to the Event Guide for information on the event traps notified from the device.

1.4.3.1.2 Compatibility with New Functions of ETERNUS Disk Storage Systems

The following operations can be performed for the Non-disruptive Storage Migration functions that are added to the ETERNUS DX S4/S3 series, ETERNUS AF All-Flash Arrays, and the ETERNUS DX200F.

Note

In this product, the External Drive or the External RAID Group that is used for the Non-disruptive Storage Migration cannot be displayed.

Storage Cruiser can manage the ETERNUS DX S4 series and the ETERNUS AF S2 series that have the following component:

To perform the operations or use the functions described in this section, the firmware version of the target storage device must be V10L80 or later.

1.4.3.1.3 Expanding the Number of Allocable Volumes for Affinity/LUN Groups

For the ETERNUS DX S4/S3 series, the ETERNUS AF All-Flash Arrays, and the ETERNUS DX200F, affinity/LUN groups can be allocated with up to 4,096 volumes.

Due to this, a maximum of 4,096 LUNs that belong to the affinity/LUN groups are displayed on the Affinity/LUN Group Details screen of Web Console. In addition, a maximum of eight concatenated affinity group numbers that the LUNs belong to are also displayed.

Point

  • To use this function, the firmware version of the target storage device must be V10L80 or later.

  • The host affinity which Affinity/LUN groups that have 513 or more volumes is associated can be set in a Storage Cluster configuration of a BS2000 environment.

  • The affinity groups for the BS2000 can be modified.

1.4.3.2 New Functions Available With Storage Cluster Option License

1.4.3.2.1 Supported Platform Expansion for Storage Cluster Controller

In addition to Windows supported by version 16.5 or earlier, Storage Cluster Controller can be configured in servers running the following OSs:
