Virtual Storage Resource Names and Disk Resource Names

For either of the following cases, users can configure arbitrary virtual storage resource names and disk resource names.
- When using NetApp storage as the storage unit
- When a storage unit is Netapp storage, and the formats of the virtual storage resource name and the disk resource name are the same format as the RAID group name and the alias name of LUNs respectively managed by ESC
In the case above, for physical L-Server switchover (physical OS) or physical/virtual L-Server switchover (VM host/VM guest), configure a virtual storage resource name and a disk resource name that satisfies either of the following.
- For all replicated virtual storage resources and disk resources, use the same names between the sites
- Do not use the same resource name between sites
Ensure that numbers are not used in virtual storage resource names. If there are the virtual storage resource names including numbers, import may fail.

Addition of Numbers to Virtual Storage Resource Names

For the virtual storage resource names of FUJITSU Software ServerView Resource Orchestrator Cloud Edition, the datastore name, the Cluster Shared Volume name, or the RAID group name is used. If the names overlap, the overlap will be avoided by the addition of numbers to the end of resource names. Therefore, in order to prevent to the addition of numbers to the end of the virtual storage names, configure the datastore name, Cluster Shared Volume name, and the RAID group name not to overlap with the virtual storage resource names between sites.
