3.8 Messages for SS

The following messages are output when using SS.

Command executed successfully.

Cause

Processing ended normally.

Action

Processing ended normally, so no action needs to be taken.

Command failed.

Cause

Take action according to the error message output immediately before this one, and then execute the command again.

Other command is running.

Cause

The command cannot be executed because another command is running.

Action

Wait until the command currently running completes, and then execute the command again.

Not Administrator.

Cause

The user does not have Administrator privileges for the local system of the operating system.

Action

Execute as a user with Administrator privileges for the local system of the operating system.

Invalid option. Option=%1

Variable information

Cause

The value specified for the option is invalid.

Action

Check the following, and then execute the command again.

  • Is the value specified for the option within the valid range?

  • If the option is a port number, does it conflict with other systems?

  • If the option is a file, has the correct file been specified?

Invalid option.

Cause

Possible causes are as follows:

  • An invalid option was specified.

  • A required option was not specified.

  • Two mutually exclusive options were specified.

Action

Take the following action, and then execute the command again.

  • Specify only valid options.

  • Specify all required options.

  • Review the combination of options.

Save settings failed.

Cause

An error occurred when inputting or outputting the setup file.

Action

Ensure that the user has Administrator privileges and that there is sufficient disk space, and then execute the command again.

Initialize error.

Cause

An error occurred during initialization processing.

Action

Perform a reinstallation or overwrite installation, and then execute the command again.

Cause

A product error occurred.

Action

Perform a reinstallation or overwrite installation, and then execute the command again.

Create certificate signing request failed.

Cause

Failed to generate a certificate signing request.

Action

Check the following, and then execute the command again.

  • Is the output file name correct?

  • If a value that includes spaces has been specified, has it been enclosed with double quotation marks?

  • Has a non-numeric value been specified for the effective period?

  • Has a non-numeric value been specified for the key size?

  • Is the key size value correct?

  • Have the key generation algorithm and signature algorithm been specified correctly?

Import certificate failed.

Cause

Possible causes are as follows:

  • A certificate signing request was not generated.

  • The certificate is invalid.

  • A certificate has already been registered under the same alias name.

  • The certificate registration order is invalid.

Action

Check the following, and then execute the command again.

  • Are certificate signing requests being generated?

  • Are server certificates that are retrieved using generated certificate signing requests being specified?

  • Are certificates of the same alias name being registered?

  • Is the certificate registration order valid?

Certificate was not registered.

Cause

The server certificate was not registered.

Action

Ensure that the server certificate has been registered, and then execute the command again.

Certificate import/export error.

Cause

Possible causes are as follows:

  • Cannot perform backup/restore for server certificates.

  • Failed to generate the certificate.

  • Failed to register the certificate.

Action

Take the following action, and then execute the command again.

  • Ensure that the specified file is correct.

  • If performing a backup, ensure that the server certificate has been registered.

  • Review the value specified for the option.

  • Stop the SWDTiSDSVWebService service.

  • If this error occurred during certificate registration, generate the certificate again.

Action

Stop the service, and then execute the command again.

Cause

Possible causes are as follows:

  • Cannot access the specified directory.

  • An invalid file name has been specified.

  • Specify a directory that can be accessed.

  • Specify the correct file name.

Specify a folder that does not contain back up data.

Cause

Ruby.exe cannot be found.

Cause

Cause

Failed to move the Apple root certificate.
