Set the interval of automatic installation of the security patches. In addition, interval of security patches distribution from CS to DS, and settings of the new message displayed on CT will also be set.
For more information about installation of the security patches, refer to relevant contents of "Note" in "6.5 Type of Use".
Note
When installing the security patches of Microsoft's Office, sometimes the CD-ROM of Office installation is installed. The security patches requiring the CD-ROM won't be installed to CT automatically.
Instruct to manually install the security patches from the software download window on the Client using CT.
Note
Under the following circumstances, the security patches can't be installed automatically.
Operate from the main menu again as per steps of "6.2.4 Select Security Patches" and "6.2.5 Acquisition of Security Patches".
The new security patches are selected in the main menu, but the download operation is not performed.
Fail to download the selected security patches.
Installation interval of security patches
Set the interval of security patches not installed to automatic installation to CT.
Log on the main menu, click Environment Setup.
The Environment Setup window will be displayed.
Click Policy Groups.
The following window will be displayed.
Click the Customize Various Policies button.
The following window will be displayed.
Click the link of policy name in the tab of Basic Operation Policy.
The following window will be displayed.
Confirm with the server if there are patches to be installed according to the interval of set value (minute) of Interval of Checking policy.
Click the tab of Patch Installation.
The following window will be displayed.
Select the operation time point of patches installation according to the set value of Automatic installation of security patch.
For more Detailed Settings, click the Detailed Settings of Security and Detailed Settings of Patch in the window for display.
Refer to relevant contents of "6.5 Type of Use" for setup contents.
Distribution interval of security patches
Set the time interval of security patches distributed from CS to DS. Short installation intervals can be set when important security patches are distributed so that they are distributed to DS and installed to CT as soon as possible.
Take the following steps.
Log on the main menu, click Environment Setup.
The Environment Setup window will be displayed.
Click the CS/DS Settings and Status.
The following window will be displayed.
Click the link of DS name.
The following window will be displayed.
Input the item below Settings of Connection with Higher CS/DS.

Specify hour(s) of receiving distribution software | Select when designating the time period of software download. Specify the time period of software download from superior server. Without selection, the download time period can be any time in 24 hours. The hour unit is specified to be 0 - 23, the minute unit is specified to be 0 - 59. The start time cannot be specified the same as the end time. |

Restrict bandwidth for communication with CT (50-10000) | Select this item to enable bandwidth control so that the specified bandwidth is not exceeded in communication between the server (CS/DS) and CT. This item is disabled by default. When the bandwidth is specified with bandwidth control enabled, the communication speed will be restricted so that the specified bandwidth is not exceeded during communication between the server (CS/DS) and CT. The unit is KB/s. The minimum value is 50 KB/s, and the maximum is 10000 KB/s (~=10 MB/s). The default value is 1000 KB/s. The formula "Number of CTs of concurrent connections to the server (CS/DS)" * "Specified bandwidth" is used during communication. |
