3.1.4 Perform Settings of PC Operation Management

When using the PC operation management function, it is required to perform the following settings on CS and the PC to perform operation management.

3.1.4.1 Settings of CS

Perform the following settings on CS.

3.1.4.2 Settings of Operation Management Target PC

Perform the following setting on the BIOS settings window of the PC to perform operation management. For information on how to display the BIOS settings window, refer to the manual of PC itself.

  1. Startup of ME BIOS (Start the window such as AMT settings .etc)

  2. Settings of Intel(R) ME Configuration

  3. Settings of Intel(R) AMT Configuration

For method of setting, refer to the manual of PC to perform operation management.


Example of setting in case of FMV-D5330

The method of setting on FMV-D5330 is as follows.


Start ME BIOS

Start according to the following procedure.

  1. Turn on the power of PC and start the PC.

  2. After the "FUJITSU" logo is displayed, "Press <Ctrl-P> to enter Intel(R) ME Setup" will be displayed on the window. At this time, press [Ctrl] and [P] at the same time.

  3. The setting window of "Intel (R) ME Configuration", "Intel (R) AMT Configuration" will be displayed. After "Intel(R) ME Password" is displayed, enter the following password.


Settings of Intel(R) ME Configuration

After ME BIOS is started, perform password authentication, select "Intel (R) ME Configuration", and perform the following settings. do not modify other settings.

Setting Procedure

  1. Select Intel(R) ME Configuration.

  2. Select Intel(R) ME Power Control. In setting items, select the following two items separately and perform settings.

    • Intel(R) ME State upon Initial Power-On

    • Intel(R) ME ON in Host Sleep States

  • Select Return to Previous Menu.

  • Select Return to Previous Menu.


Settings of Intel(R) AMT Configuration

After starting ME BIOS, execute password authentication and select Intel (R) AMT Configuration to perform the following settings. Perform settings according to the sequence of Provision Model, TCP/IP. Do not modify other settings.

Note) Whether to modify the current setting value, select yes (Y) or no (N).


Setting Procedure

  1. Select Intel(R) AMT Configuration.

  2. In setting items, select Provision Model, the following items will be displayed in sequence. Perform settings in sequence. (After settings have been completed, Provision Model will disappear from the list of setting items.)

    • Intel(R) AMT 2.0 Mode

    • Small Business

  3. In setting items, select TCP/IP. The following setting items will be displayed in sequence, perform settings separately.

    • Network Interface

    • DHCP

    • IP address

    • Subnet mask

    • Default Gateway address (If not to set, click [Enter] directly)

    • Preferred DNS address (If not to set, click [Enter] directly)

    • Alternate DNS address (If not to set, click [Enter] directly)

    • Domain Name (If not to set, click [Enter] directly)

  4. Select Return to Previous Menu

  5. Select Exit

    Note

    In the OS and AMT to perform operation management of PC, fixed IP address should be assigned separately. Do not perform DHCP settings in OS and AMT.
