Selecting two resources displayed in the network view displays a route with which point-to-point communication is possible.

Information

When there are multiple links in the selected resource, the resource and links other than the route of the point-to-point might be displayed.

The following resources can be selected by the point-to-point route search.

The procedure to display the point-to-point route is as given below.

Operation Procedure Using the Network View Icon

  1. Click the expansion button ("▼") of the resource that is the starting point of the search.

  2. Select "Route from here" from the popup menu.
    Check if the "physical-logical relationship search icon (starting point)" is assigned to the physical resource in the network view.

  3. Click the expand button ("▼") of the resource that is the end point of the search.

  4. Select "Route to here" from the popup menu.
    Check if the "physical-logical relationship search icon (end point)" is assigned to the physical resource in the network view.

  5. Click the expansion button ("▼") of the resource that is the starting point or end point of the search.

  6. Select "Route Search" from the popup menu.
    The search results are displayed in the network view.

Decision Procedure Using the Route Search of the Filter Box of the Utility Panel (Custom View)

  1. Click [+] in the upper right of the filter box to display the window for setting filter options.

  2. Check the route search checkbox and click [OK].
    The route search input field is displayed.

  3. Select the resource to be the starting point in the network view.

  4. Click the [Route from here] button in the route search input field.
    Check if the "physical-logical relationship search icon (starting point)" is assigned to the physical resource in the network view.

  5. Click the resource which is the end point in the network view.

  6. Click the [Route to here] button in the route search input field.
    Check if the "physical-logical relationship search icon (end point)" is assigned to the physical resource in the network view.

  7. Click the [Search] button in the route search input field.
    The search results are displayed in the network view.

Decision Procedure Using the [Menu] Button of the Utility Panel (Property)

  1. Select the resource to be the starting point in the network view.

  2. Click the [Menu] button of the property.

  3. Click "Route from here".
    Check if the "physical-logical relationship search icon (starting point)" is assigned to the physical resource in the network view.

  4. Click the resource which is the end point in the network view.

  5. Click the [Menu] button of the property.

  6. Click "Route to here".
    Check if the "physical-logical relationship search icon (end point)" is assigned to the physical resource in the network view.

  7. Click the [Menu] button of the property.

  8. Click "Route Search".
    The search results are displayed in the network view.

Note

  • The display of resources included in the resource that has been selected cannot be closed while selecting the resources for the route search.

  • The search results may differ, depending on whether the resource has been deployed.

    Execute Route Search when you want to search for a correct route with a deployed resource.

  • Network links not displayed in the network view cannot be searched.
