F.2.2 Incompatible Commands

This section describes the incompatible commands of GLS 4.3A20 from the previous version.

F.2.2.1 hanetconfig Command

[Incompatible Contents]

This command allows you to add or delete virtual adapters if there are any active virtual adapters. For details, see "6.2.2 hanetconfig."

Before modification

If there are any active virtual adapters, you cannot add or delete virtual adapter.

After modification

Even if there are any active virtual adapters, you can add or delete virtual adapter.

F.2.2.2 hanetnic Command

If all the following conditions are met, you cannot dynamically delete physical adapters.

[Changes]

Before modification

In the configuration where multiple virtual adapters share a physical adapter, active and inactive virtual adapters never exist together.
Therefore, an unused physical adapter for a certain virtual adapter is never used as the operational adapter for a different virtual adapter.

After modification

In the configuration where multiple virtual adapters share a physical adapter, active and inactive virtual adapters can exist together. Moreover, state of physical adapters under each virtual adapter may be different.
Therefore, an unused physical adapter for a certain virtual adapter can be used as the operational adapter for a different virtual adapter. In this case, you cannot dynamically delete physical adapters.

F.2.2.3 hanetpoll Command

[Incompatible Contents]

This command allows you to set or remove destinations if there are any virtual adapters where ping monitoring has started. This command also allows you to specify the virtual adapter where ping monitoring will be started or stopped. For details, see "6.2.5 hanetpoll."

Before modification

If there are any virtual adapters where ping monitoring has started, you cannot set or remove destinations.
Moreover, you cannot specify the virtual adapter where ping monitoring will be started or stopped.

After modification

Even if there are any virtual adapters where ping monitoring has started, you can set or remove destinations.
Moreover, you can specify the virtual adapter where ping monitoring will be started or stopped.

F.2.2.4 strhanet Command

[Incompatible Contents]

This command allows you to specify the names of virtual adapters to be activated. Also, the script file name which the strhanet command executes is output to the message "00013." Moreover, the message output when the strhanet command is executed during the virtual adapter is paused. For details, see "6.2.7 strhanet."

Before modification

You cannot specify the names of virtual adapters to be activated.

After modification

You can specify the names of virtual adapters to be activated.

You can specify the names of virtual adapters to be deactivated.
