4.4.1 Performance Settings

You can override Live Help's default data transfer techniques to affect performance.

While remote control is in progress, Live Help uses compression techniques and data differencing to achieve the best transfer performance possible.

However, you can override the default transfer techniques by settings in the Screen Transfer Method dialog box. This dialog box also allows you to choose the number of video resolution colors, and whether you want to disable the sender's wallpaper. Refer to the section Screen Transfer Method and Performance Settings in Changing Your Live Help Expert Configuration for more information.

If there are other Help Desk Personnel in the session, they view the Remote Control session in their Live Help window, but cannot make changes. They can use their mouse and keyboard normally, without affecting the session.
