While remote control is in progress, both the Client and a Support Specialist can use the mouse and keyboard to jointly operate the applications running on the Client's computer. Both people can control whatever appears on the Client's screen. This includes any Windows(R) applications, the Windows(R) desktop, and even windowed DOS applications.
Note
You cannot view or operate on the following screens.
The MS-DOS(R) prompt screen in full screen mode (If it has a window pane, it is possible to share and remotely operate the screen
The screen of the applications that support Direct X / OpenGL
The screen of Windows(R) applications that have motion picture and sound features
The screen of the applications that do not work properly without system reboot after changing the settings in display properties
During remote control the applications and data stay on the Client's computer.
It is important to remember that the applications, data files, program groups, etc. remain on the Client's computer during remote control. Support Specialists do not receive a copy of any files.
During a remote control session, Live Help just sends the Support Specialist's keystrokes and mouse movements to the Client's computer, where they are processed. The Client's applications do not run on the Support Specialist's computer.
