When the Windows Firewall feature is enabled, the Live Help applications may experience difficulties with establishing connections since Windows Firewall blocks incoming connections to your computer, and this interferes with the Live Help communications.
Therefore you must pay a special attention when you use the Live Help applications on an Operating System on which Windows Firewall is enabled by default, such as Windows Vista or later, Windows Server 2008 or later.
You must configure Windows Firewall to accept the Live Help applications to connect to your computer. For details, refer to Windows Firewall.
Point
You need to configure Windows Firewall to be turned off only once. Once you disable it, the Live Help applications will always run properly.
Note
If you are using other firewall products, refer to the section Adding Live Help Port to Windows Firewall Exceptions in Windows Firewall to unblock the ports that Live Help uses for communication.
