This section describes the group operations and the actions following the group operations. The following operations can be executed for groups.
Cancelled
Cancels the group being executed or in the warning status. All the job nets being executed or in the warning status will be cancelled. The job nets which have not been executed as they do not satisfy the execution conditions will remain in the waiting status.
If the cancelled groups are newly scheduled, they will be in the waiting status.
However, if Check canceled Option is specified in addition to Validate group confirmation Option, the group will remain in the cancelled status and will not be newly scheduled.
Start
Starts the group immediately. Among the execution conditions for the job nets in the group started with the start operation, the conditions other than the normal completion of the preceding job net will be ignored. Therefore, the job net will be started immediately after the preceding job net is completed normally.
The job net configuration at the group startup is as follows depending on the group status.
The group will be started from the beginning with the job net configuration of the completed group.
The group will be started with the job net configuration of the scheduled group. In this case, the group will not be started again at the originally-scheduled startup time.
The group will be started with all the job net configurations in the group. In this case, this group will be able to be monitored in the Monitor Group window.
Restart
Restarts the group when it has been abnormally terminated or cancelled due to the abended job net in the group during the previous execution. When restarted, execution will be started from the abended or cancelled job net and the group will be in the executing status. If no abended or cancelled job net exist, execution will be started from the waiting job nets which satisfy the execution conditions. The execution conditions of the job nets in the restarted group vary as follows, depending on the conditions of the previous execution of the group.
The normal completion of the preceding job net, the startup time and the message event waiting will be valid.
Only the normal completion of the preceding job net will be valid.
Pause
Pauses the group. The paused group cannot be executed even if the execution conditions are satisfied.
Continue
Cancels the paused status of the group. The group will resume the status before the pause operation (if newly scheduled, however, the group will be in the waiting status). If the execution conditions are satisfied while the group is being paused, the group will be started after resuming.
Disable
Disables the group. The disabled group is considered to be pseudo-normal when the startup time has come and will be skipped. When the execution conditions are satisfied while the group is being paused, the group will be considered to be pseudo-normal and skipped when disabled.
Enable
Cancels the disabled status of the group. The group will resume the status before the disable operation (if newly scheduled, however, the group will be in the waiting status). If the job was in the paused status before the disable operation, however, it will resume the status before the pause operation. Or, if it was in the abended or cancelled status before the disable operation, it changes to the completed status. If the execution conditions are satisfied while the job net is being disabled, the group will be in the completed status after enable operation.
Confirm
Brings the group which have been terminated abnormally or cancelled at the previous execution to the confirmed status. Confirmation is enabled when Validate group confirmation is selected in the Advanced Settings for Verification window (which is displayed by clicking the Advanced Settings button in Verification at error occurrence in the Use function1 sheet of the Define Jobscheduler Startup Parameters window). When the Validate group confirmation option is selected, no scheduling will be executed for the group in the abended status at the day change time or the startup time of the server beyond the day change time. After confirm operation is carried out for the abended group, the scheduling for the current day will be executed at the day change time or the startup time of the server beyond the day change time.
Note that to enable verification with respect to canceled groups, it is necessary to select Check canceled as well as Validate group confirmation in the Advanced Settings for Verification window.
