3.3.3 Setting Schedules Individually for Specific Days

Individual patterns are patterns with timings for power on/off and rebooting for the day defined only for specific days. For days on which power on/off and rebooting of server should be operated with other pattern than the standard or non-standard patterns, you can set individual patterns. Also, individual patterns can be used for power on/off and rebooting on holidays set in the SYSTEM_CALENDAR. Use the following procedure to set an individual pattern of the power schedule.

Procedure

  1. Displaying the Power Control Pattern (Separate) dialog box

Select the Dates button in the Add Calendar window, then right-click and select Separate from the pop-up menu.

  2. Creating an individual pattern

Create power control patterns (power on time/power off time/rebooting time) for the selected date using the Power Control Pattern (Separate) dialog box.

    Working Time:

Specifies the operation range and the rebooting time of the computer with a time chart.

    Work/Off/Reboot:

Selects and displays modes for editing time charts.

    • Work:

      Specifies the operation range.

    • OFF:

Cancels the specified operation range. If the rebooting time is set within the operation range, the rebooting time is canceled as well.

    • Reboot:

      Specifies or cancels rebooting time.

  3. Applying an individual pattern

Click OK to close the Power Control Pattern (Separate) dialog box. The newly-created individual pattern will be applied to the selected dates.

Note

  • Double-clicking a holiday resumes the standard pattern and it does not return to the previous pattern.

  • If individual pattern is applied to holiday, it is set to holiday/individual. On the other hand, if the date on which an individual pattern is applied is set as a holiday, the individual pattern setting will be canceled and it will become an ordinary holiday.

  • The holiday/individual is treated as a holiday for other functions than the power control function.

  • When the Separate button is selected from the pop-up menu while a date on which the individual pattern is set is selected, information on the previously-set individual pattern will be displayed on the Power Control Pattern (Separate) dialog box. Changing and setting information overwrite the previously-set individual pattern information.

  • When the Separate button is selected from the pop-up menu while dates including the date on which the individual pattern is set are selected, the Power Control Pattern (Separate) dialog box will be displayed without a time chart. Setting individual pattern overwrites the previously-set individual pattern information.
