6.2.2 When Executing Online Jobs

If an online job is executed in a queue that also contains regular batch jobs, the online job may not be able to start at the scheduled time due to the Max Execution Jobs control within the queue.

For online jobs, use the "online1" queue that has been defined exclusively for online jobs.

Initially, only the following items are set up for the dedicated queue for online jobs ("online1").

Queue Name

online1

Limit the number of jobs to execute simultaneously (Max Execution Jobs)

30 [Windows], 256 [UNIX]

Default Job Priority

31

Note that if a limit is defined for the job elapsed time, the online jobs will be canceled in accordance with the limit that is defined, so limit for the job elapsed time should not be defined for the dedicated queue for online jobs.

Also, if Max Execution Jobs control is being performed within the system, it will be necessary to review the definition values. Design carefully so that Max Execution Jobs control does not prevent online jobs from starting at their execution time.
