3.2 Determining the Power Schedule

A power schedule defines the time when the server power is scheduled to be switched on or off, or rebooted.

In Systemwalker Operation Manager, the following operations can be performed based on the configured power schedule by integrating power control software:

When power is controlled, it will switch off at the time specified in the power schedule on days configured as holidays in the SYSTEM_CALENDAR. For days other than holidays (working days), power will switch on at the time specified in the power schedule (or if no time has been defined, power on/off will occur according to the day change time).

Note that the server power can be switched off (shutdown) or rebooted even when power control software is not used.

Power control modes and power schedules at the time of installation

The following operations are defined by default when Systemwalker Operation Manager is installed.

Windows
  • Power is controlled for individual servers

  • Only shutdown/reboot is performed (power control software is not used)

UNIX
  • Power is not controlled

If any operational issues arise with the above-mentioned operations, review the power control mode or the power schedule.
