4.7.2 Tape Library Device ETERNUS LT20/LT20 S2/LT40/LT40 S2/LT60/LT60 S2/LT200/LT210/LT220/LT230/LT270 S2

This software supports fault management and linkage to the management software, for ETERNUS LT20/LT20 S2/LT40/LT40 S2/LT60/LT60 S2/LT200/LT210/LT220/LT230/LT270 S2.

  1. Connecting to the network

    Make the required settings for a tape library device which you use to connect to a network, and then connect to the network.
    Refer to the manuals provided with the respective devices for details on the setting method.

  2. SNMP Trap setting

    Set the SNMP Trap send destination address to the IP address for the Management Server on which this software is running, using management software for the tape library server you use.
    For the Management Server in a cluster configuration, the logical IP address of the Management Server cluster must be set.
    Restart the device after the setting.

  3. Management software linkage

    Use the management software provided with a tape library device for device management such as checking the detailed status of the tape library device and the various settings.
    The management software can be called directly from the Web Console. In advance, setup the following as the management software on the Web Console:

  4. Access path setting and display

    This software does not set the Fibre Channel Interface, but displays access paths by using SwitchZoning or StorageAffinity on the server node.
    When setting the Fibre Channel Interface, use management software for the tape library device.
