4.7.3 Virtual Tape Appliance ETERNUS CS2000

This software supports fault management (SNMP Trap monitoring only) for the ETERNUS CS2000.

  1. Connecting to the network

    Make the required settings for a virtual tape appliance which you use to connect to a network, and then connect to the network.
    Refer to the manuals provided with the respective devices for details on the setting method.

  2. SNMP Trap setting

    Make the required settings on the CS console so that SNMP Traps of the ETERNUS CS2000 will be sent to the Management Server.
    If the Management Server is defined as a cluster, the logical IP address of the cluster needs to be set.

  3. Registering the device

    Refer to "5.2.6 Registering Manually Embedded Device" for registering the virtual tape appliance device.
    IP address of ETERNUS CS2000 must be set in "IP address" for the registration.
