This section describes the upgrade procedure for Storage Cruiser's agent for Solaris.
The upgrade is performed as follows:
Point
Check that the local file system is already mounted before the installation. If it is not mounted yet, mount the local file system.
# /usr/sbin/mountall -l
Log in to the server as a superuser.
Execute the following command to stop the daemon:
# /opt/FJSVssage/bin/pstorageagt
Execute the following command to confirm that the daemon has stopped:
# /usr/bin/ps -ef | grep FJSVssage
If not stopped, execute the following command to stop it forcibly:
# /usr/bin/kill -9 daemonProcID
Insert the DVD-ROM "ETERNUS SF SC/ACM/Express Mediapack (Agent Program and Manual)" for this version into the DVD-ROM drive and mount the DVD-ROM.
In command example below, the device name of the DVD-ROM drive is mounted as /dev/dsk/c0t4d0s0. The device name for the DVD-ROM drive, however, may be different for your particular device.
# mount -F hsfs -o ro /dev/dsk/c0t4d0s0 dvdromMountPoint
Execute the following command:
# cd dvdromMountPoint/Agent_unix/Storage_Cruiser/Solaris
# ./scagtinstall.sh
The following message will be displayed. To continue, enter "y". To discontinue, enter "n" or "q".
ETERNUS SF Storage Cruiser 15.3 Copyright FUJITSU LIMITED 2012-2013 This program will upgrade "ETERNUS SF Storage Cruiser" Agent on your system. Do you want to continue the upgrade of this package? [y,n,?,q]
If "y" was entered in step 6, the following message will be displayed. To continue, enter "y". To discontinue, enter "n".
Using </opt> as the package base directory. ## Processing package information. ## Processing system information. ## Verifying disk space requirements. ## Checking for conflicts with packages already installed. ## Checking for setuid/setgid programs. This package contains scripts which will be executed with super-user permission during the process of installing this package. Do you want to continue with the installation of <FJSVssage> [y,n,?]
If "y" was entered in step 7, the upgrade will continue.
If the upgrade completes normally, the following message will be displayed.
Installing Storage System Agent for ETERNUS SF as <FJSVssage> ... Upgrade of <FJSVssage> was successful. INFO : "ETERNUS SF Storage Cruiser" Agent was upgraded successfully.
If there is an error during the upgrade, the following message will be displayed.
ERROR : not privileged or ERROR : "ETERNUS SF Storage Cruiser" Agent cannot be installed in non-global zone. or ERROR : Upgrading FJSVssage was failed.
Eject the DVD-ROM.
Execute the following command to start the daemon:
# /opt/FJSVssage/bin/sstorageagt
Reload the server information using the Web Console.

The upgrade of Storage Cruiser's agent for Solaris is completed.
Point
If a failure occurs during the upgrade, you cannot restore the environment to the pre-installation status (rollback). Therefore, it is recommended to back up the operating system before performing the upgrade.
If a failure occurs during the upgrade and you want to restore the environment to the pre-installation status, restore the system from the backup.
If the upgrade was terminated abnormally, refer to "Corrective actions to be taken when any error occurs in version upgrade from 15.x (for Solaris, Linux)" in the Software Release Guide, recover the system to the normal status.
