1.2.4 Automating Operations for Application Release Tasks

An example of the automation of an application release task is displayed below.

Operation procedure

1. The Operation Administrator sends a request to the operator based on the release task plan.

2. The operator starts the release task Automated Operation Process according to the release task plan.

3. The following processes are executed automatically, and the release tasks are performed.

   1. The release package specified for the Automated Operation Process is retrieved.

   2. The release package retrieved in (a) is sent to the Business Server and then deployed.

   3. When the release is completed, the release task process sends a termination notification email to the operator.

4. The operator checks the Automated Operation Process result from the Web console.
