This section describes how to restore the settings of virtual adapters. You can use the hanetrestore command to restore backed up virtual adapter settings.
In the procedure below, the name of the virtual adapter is sha0 and the name of the backed up settings file from which the virtual adapter is restored is glsbackup.
Deactivate all virtual adapters by executing the stphanet command.
> stphanet FJSVhanet: INFO: 00000: The command ended normally (sha0). FJSVhanet: INFO: 00005: The ping monitor stopped. |
Restore the settings file by executing the hanetrestore command.
> hanetrestore -f C:\glsbackup |
Activate all virtual adapters by executing the strhanet command.
> strhanet FJSVhanet: INFO: 00000: The command ended normally (sha0). FJSVhanet: INFO: 00007: Start the ping monitor using the hanetpoll command if needed. |

Note
Because IP address settings are not included in the backup, you must remake the IP address settings for the virtual adapters after restoring the file. For further details, refer to "3.4.5 Follow-up Tasks: IP Address Settings."
