PRIMECLUSTER GLS for Windows User's Guide 4.3

5.4.1 Backing Up Definition Data for Virtual Adapters

This section describes how to create a backup of the definition data for virtual adapters, which should be carried out immediately after installing GLS and immediately after any changes to the configuration. You can use the hanetbackup command to back up the definition data for virtual adapters.

To create a backup file named glsbackup of the virtual interface settings file on the C drive:

> hanetbackup -f C:\glsbackup

For more details on the hanetbackup command, refer to "6.2.1 hanetbackup."

Note

IP address settings are not backed up. For this reason, you must remake the IP address settings for the virtual adapters in the restored system. For further details, refer to "3.4.5 Follow-up Tasks: IP Address Settings."
