4.3.7 Remain Mode

Use the Remain mode after the source data has been copied to the destination and after initial copy skip has been completed. Restarting synchronous processing in Remain mode means that only data that has been updated on the copy source volume after synchronous processing has been started in the Initial Copy Skip process is reflected on the copy destination volume when the copy is resumed.

  1. Right-click the relevant Replication Group or Volume Pairs to invoke the context menu and select the [Start REC in Remain Mode] option to invoke the [Start REC in Remain Mode] dialog box.

  2. Click [Advanced Options] to expand the dialog box and select available options as required.

  3. Click [OK] to restart the session in Remain mode.

  4. The current copy status is not refreshed automatically. Right-click the transaction volume to open the context menu and select [Refresh] to check the latest copy status.
