This section explains how to initialize or modify the data transfer volume, when the XL-DATA/MV is operated on the cluster system.
Use the initialization commands (mftfdvini, mftfdvadd or mftfdvalt) on a UNIX server, when initializing or modifying information of the data transfer volume.
[For Initialization of the Data Transfer Volume]
Set the following information to Initialization Information in the Initialization Configuration File.
- Specify the "virtual node name" (UNIX server) or the "virtual computer name" (IA server) specified for the the Data Transfer Environment Settings File for Initialization Information in UNIX/IA server on the cluster system.
Then execute the initialization command (mftfdvini).
[For modifying Information of the Data Transfer Volume]
Specify the following information for an option (server system name or client system name) of the initialization commands (mftfdvadd or mftfdvalt).
- Specify the "virtual node name" (UNIX server) or the "virtual computer name" (IA server) specified for the the Data Transfer Environment Settings File for a system name of the UNIX/IA server on the cluster system.
Then execute the initialization commands (mftfdvadd or mftfdvalt).
"Use the Disk Utility on a IA server, when initializing of the data transfer volume.
[For Initialization by the Initialization Wizard]
Specify the following information for "system name" of the Initialization Wizard.
- Specify the "virtual computer name" (IA server) specified for the the Data Transfer Environment Settings File for a system name of the IA server on the cluster system.
Then execute the Disk Utility.
[For Initialization by the Initialization Configuration File]
Set the following information to Initialization Information in the Initialization Configuration File.
- Specify the "virtual computer name" (IA server) specified for the the Data Transfer Environment Settings File for Initialization Information in IA server on the cluster system.
Then execute the Disk Utility.
