Appendix F :Operation of Cluster System | > F.2 Setting the Operating Environment |
Each node has its own system node name (UNIX server)/computer name (IA server) on the cluster system. An example image is as follows.
[For UNIX servers]
[For IA servers]
Therefore, when the XL-DATA/MV is operated on the cluster system, the following definitions are required.
However, if initializing the data transfer volume before setting the data transfer environment settings file, perform one of the following processes:
If the "virtual node name" (UNIX server) or the "virtual computer name" (IA server) is different from the system name specified on initializing the data transfer volume or modifying the information of a data transfer volume, the data transfer process will not be operated properly.
Environment Item Name : SERVERNAME Setting Values : SERVERNAME = virtual node name Examples :
SERVERNAME = SVNM01
Environment Item Name : SERVERNAME Setting Values : SERVERNAME = virtual computer name Examples :
SERVERNAME = CMNM01
An arbitrary name can be specified for the "virtual node name" (UNIX server) or the "virtual computer name" (IA server).
