Chapter 2 : Setting the Operating Environment | > 2.5 Disk Utility |
With the Disk Utility, the data transfer volume to be used by XL-DATA/MV can be selected from the Tree View in the left frame.
The following are the procedures:
Select (highlight) the data transfer volume to use from the tree view.
Afterwards, perform one of the following operations to select it.
Menu Bar | [Tree(T)] - [Select Disk(S)] |
Toolbar | ![]() |
Tree view popup menu(right click) | [Select Disk(S)] |
Tree view disk item | Double Click |
After the selection is completed, the disk item of the tree view changes to the [Selected] image (an image of a target disk with a "P").
However, data transfer volumes that only display "V11 Format" for its disk item cannot be selected (i.e. if the disk is initialized volume, but the local system is not defined as the server system or the device information of the defined server system varies from the disk's physical drive number of the local system).
To deselect a disk, select a disk with a [Selected] status (an image of a disk with a "P") from the tree view and perform one of the following operations. This restores the image to a [Not Selected] (an image of a target disk with a "M") image.
Menu Bar | [Tree(T)] - [Deselect Disk(D)] |
Toolbar | ![]() |
Tree view popup menu(right click) | [Deselect Disk(D)] |
Tree view disk item | Double Click |
Refer to "Tree View (Left Frame)" regarding the images of the tree view.
The maximum number of data transfer volumes that can be selected is "8".
Attempting to select more than that will not display the "P" image.
