The CLI is available in all platforms, but the GUI is available only on Windows.
How to start the License Manager GUI:
Open "<Install Directory of License Manager>\bin" folder, and double-click the esflmgui.exe program file.
Or from the Windows [Start] menu, select [Run] and input following strings.
<Install Directory of License Manager>\bin\esflmgui.exe
How to use the License Manager CLI:
Refer to "E.5 Commands of License Manager".
Note
The License Manager operations that can be executed depend on the user authority.
Operation | Administrator privilege |
---|---|
Register license | Required |
View license information | Not required |
Remove license | Required |
Backup or restore license management database | Required |
The meaning of "Administrator privilege" is different in each OS.
For Linux or Solaris, it means that the effective user id of a user is 0.
For Windows, it means that a user belongs to "Administrators" group.
